A message for our Year 7 parents and carers:
Year 7 Meet the Tutor Evening.
This event provides an opportunity for you to meet your child's form tutor, who will be supporting them throughout the academic year. It is also a chance to find out how your child has settled into Year 7, learn more about life at The Portsmouth Academy, and ask any questions you may have about the year ahead.
Allergy Awareness:
To help keep all pupils safe, please ensure the school has up-to-date information about any allergies your child may have. Accurate allergy information enables us to put appropriate support plans in place, train staff effectively, and respond quickly in an emergency. We all have a part to play in creating a safe environment, including following our nut-aware policy and being mindful of the food brought into school. If your child has an allergy, please contact the school or update their details via Arbor. Be Allergy Aware Posters for AAW25

At The Portsmouth Academy, we love to engage with several trust-wide We Are One events throughout the year.
The We Are One events are led by the Thinking Schools Academy Trust and provide an opportunity for our pupils and staff to join other schools, academies and colleges from across the country for an event with a common aim and objectives.
Our We Are One events are celebratory in tone and come with a variety of engaging activities for all ages to enjoy. They remind our pupils that they are a member of something beyond The Portsmouth Academy; We Are One demonstrates to our pupils they are part of a network of thousands of others who come together as one, hence #WeAreOne.
Our We Are One events vary from day, to week, to a month-long timetable of activities for our pupils and staff to engage.
At The Portsmouth Academy, our We Are One events over the years have included: Black History Month, World Book Day, Children in Need, International Women's Day, LGBTQ+ History Month, TSArTs Week and World Earth Day.
We also created a video of the In Flanders Field poem to stand with other schools in our trust and remember those who gave their lives so we could have our day, which you can watch on this page.
