Alex, a year 8 pupil at The Portsmouth Academy, has been on an inspiring journey since he started Muay Thai boxing two years ago.

His dedication and commitment to the sport have not only led to personal achievements but have also transformed him in various aspects of his life.

In the span of two years, Alex has actively participated in exhibition fights against other local clubs, showcasing his skills and determination. He has successfully progressed through his gradings, attaining the orange belt, which is a testament to his hard work and perseverance.

Training three times a week, Alex dedicates his evenings to Muay Thai, engaging in a rigorous routine that includes cardiovascular exercises, technical improvement sessions within a group setting, and sparring with fellow practitioners. Through this disciplined regimen, he has not only honed his physical abilities but has also cultivated a greater sense of self-discipline, improved his personal fitness levels, and boosted his self-confidence significantly.

His journey is not just a personal triumph but also a source of pride for his peers in his tutor group. Alex's dedication and progress exemplify the positive impact that sport can have on an individual's life, fostering discipline, fitness, and self-confidence.
