KS3 Students Take Part in a Digital Bootcamp

At The Portsmouth Academy,  One:One devices are an integral part of our digital strategy.  Last week, a group of KS3 students took part in TPA's first ever Digital Bootcamp, created by Miss Bellazrak, Digital Lead Practioner. 

What's a Digital Bootcamp? Miss Bellazrak says,  

‘This is an intensive digital training workshop where we are training our digital champions and our cyber ambassadors on how to use all of the Microsoft applications and how they can help others and impart those skills on their peers. These skills can also help students in their future careers, as Microsoft Office is widely used in various industries and professions. This is important to us as a  Microsoft Showcase School, we aspire to equip our students with skills for the future and to meet the world.’ 

The workshop was delivered by Mr Batten, Trust Lead for Digital, and Miss Barnes, Digital Learning Ambassador. The students received a certificate and badge for completing their training. They’ll be using their expertise to help their fellow students, in their lessons, with getting back online to make the most of their learning time!  

Look out for their blue Digital Leader badges on their blazers if you need a helping hand!
