Eight Year 10 students have launched their campaigns to be Head Student for the next academic year. In assembly this week, each of the 8 candidates is giving a 1 minute speech to set out why they're the best person to be elected as Head student.
All the candidates have undergone a rigorous selection process. First they had to submit an application and write a letter to Mrs Wilson and Mr Lock. After being shortlisted, the students then gave a short presentation on what the school values of Aspire, Achieve and Respect means to them before being put through to appearing in this week's assemblies.
Next up for the candidates are formal interviews before students and staff cast their votes next week. To learn more about our candidates, look out for the candidate profiles and campaign posters they've created on the Xibo TV screens around the school.
Mrs Wilson says we have a very strong field of candidates this year for Head Student. They've all been amazing throughout the selection process and we're really excited to find out who will be chosen as Head Student. Best of luck to the 8 candidates!
