Year 11 drama pupils at The Portsmouth Academy have been in the spotlight for their GCSE exams. 

An ambitious team from The Portsmouth Academy have been crowned winners of the South Coast’s Apprentice Vs Dragons Den competition, which saw teams of secondary school students come up with a product idea which solves one of modern life’s problems.

Alex, a year 8 pupil at The Portsmouth Academy, has been on an inspiring journey since he started Muay Thai boxing two years ago. His dedication and commitment to the sport have not only led to personal achievements but have also transformed him in various aspects of his life.

Throughout February, schools and colleges from across the Thinking Schools Academy Trust have been learning about and celebrating LGBTQ+ history by engaging in a variety of activities and events.

Last Thursday, a group of 15 Year 10 students from The Portsmouth Academy had the unique opportunity to visit the Army Barracks at Thorney Island.
