A message for our Year 7 parents and carers:

Year 7 Meet the Tutor Evening.

This event provides an opportunity for you to meet your child's form tutor, who will be supporting them throughout the academic year. It is also a chance to find out how your child has settled into Year 7, learn more about life at The Portsmouth Academy, and ask any questions you may have about the year ahead.

  • Session 1: 3:30pm to 4:15pm
  • Session 2: 4:15pm to 5:00pm

Allergy Awareness:

To help keep all pupils safe, please ensure the school has up-to-date information about any allergies your child may have. Accurate allergy information enables us to put appropriate support plans in place, train staff effectively, and respond quickly in an emergency. We all have a part to play in creating a safe environment, including following our nut-aware policy and being mindful of the food brought into school. The Training and Learning Centre is a modern working building situated just behind The Portsmouth Academy which offers a large meeting room as well as various conference rooms to host your next event. 

Whether you’re looking to upskill your staff, provide some training or just gather your team in a professional environment, The Training and Learning Centre could be the perfect place to deliver what you need. 

Our meeting room comfortably accommodates 8-10 people, which we can configure into different layouts for you. Amenities include an interactive whiteboard, video conferencing facilities, Wi-Fi and hot drink refreshments (on request). 

We also have two other different training rooms to host your next presentation, skills session or away day which is also complete with Wi-Fi and an interactive whiteboard. 

With each room, you can book by the hour, or hire out the facility for a half, or even full day. You can also complete your full day booking with a lunch provision. 

There is ample street parking on surrounding roads, but visitors should be aware this is residents-only during the hours of 4:00-6:00pm. 

The Training and Learning Centre is served by numerous bus links with Stagecoach’s 14 and 21, as well as First Bus's 18 services all run to-and-from Portsmouth City Centre. If arriving by rail, Fratton station is a 15–20-minute walk and trains run frequently from London, Brighton and Southampton.
