Throughout February, schools and colleges from across the Thinking Schools Academy Trust have been learning about and celebrating LGBTQ+ history by engaging in a variety of activities and events.
Last Thursday, a group of 15 Year 10 students from The Portsmouth Academy had the unique opportunity to visit the Army Barracks at Thorney Island.
Young people within Portsmouth are brimming with potential, and it is time to harness that to drive positive change. That’s the message from Lesley Otitoju, a pupil from The Portsmouth Academy who is campaigning to be the city’s Member of Youth Parliament.

Congratulations to Mrs. Parker who has been recognised for her contribution to creativity amongst the local community at an awards event focused on bringing people together and celebrating success.
The sound of joy echoed through St. Mary’s Church earlier this week as The Portsmouth Academy held its first community Christmas Carols, which were a huge success.
