A message for our Year 7 parents and carers:
Year 7 Meet the Tutor Evening.
This event provides an opportunity for you to meet your child's form tutor, who will be supporting them throughout the academic year. It is also a chance to find out how your child has settled into Year 7, learn more about life at The Portsmouth Academy, and ask any questions you may have about the year ahead.
Allergy Awareness:
To help keep all pupils safe, please ensure the school has up-to-date information about any allergies your child may have. Accurate allergy information enables us to put appropriate support plans in place, train staff effectively, and respond quickly in an emergency. We all have a part to play in creating a safe environment, including following our nut-aware policy and being mindful of the food brought into school. If your child has an allergy, please contact the school or update their details via Arbor. Be Allergy Aware Posters for AAW25

The Portsmouth Academy has launched Business Breakfasts, a new careers scheme. In partnership with Shaping Portsmouth, we'll be inviting professionals from a variety of fields to attend a breakfast meeting with students and to have a conversation about their jobs and the fields they work in.
For the first meeting, students were joined by an Outreach Co-ordinator from the University of Portsmouth. The students asked a series of pre-selected questions to guess the job of the visitor, she could only answer with yes or no. Although the students weren’t able to guess her job title, they were however able to ascertain that she worked in an educational environment and organised workshops and events for schools.

A Year 10 student said, 'It was a really interesting morning and gave me the opportunity to find out about all the different careers available at a university and I also learnt that university isn't all about learning and studying but is a place where you can make lifelong friends and share lots of adventures.'
The Business Breakfasts are a great way for our students to interact with professionals in a small group setting. We’re pleased to be able to students this opportunity to learn more about different career options and the pathways they may take to achieve their career goals.
